Our story began in 2001

On September 3, 2001, LB-acoustics Messgeräte GmbH was spun off from LB-electronics GmbH by means of the shareholders‘ agreement.

Regional and national

In the early years, we operated mainly in Austria. Today, roughly half of our revenue is generated in Austria. The other half comes from other regions, including the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Slovenia, Hungary, and Romania.

Our business partners for sound and vibration measurement technology

Our focus on sound and vibration measurement technology shapes our daily work and, even after a quarter of a century, remains an exciting field. When it comes to advising our customers and selecting our products, no distance is too far for us – our suppliers are based all over the world and cover a broad technical spectrum: from laser measurement technology, through sound and vibration measurement technology, to vibration test systems, software solutions, calibration and accessories. We have long-standing, successful partnerships with many of our suppliers.

Relocation in 2015: the right decision

Moving to our current location in Vienna’s 21st district made many aspects of our daily work easier. Excellent motorway connections in every direction and good public transport links make it convenient to schedule customer appointments, welcome visiting suppliers and work together as a team. Furthermore, we have spacious offices and our own seminar room for training sessions and meetings. Another important step in our service development since 2008 has been our calibration and verification facility for sound level meters, microphones, and test sound sources.

Teamwork makes the dream work

We started out 25 years ago with five staff members, including the management. Today, our team comprises seven people, including our colleague in the Czech Republic. We particularly value the long-standing tenure of many of our staff members. This means our customers are able to rely on well-known contact persons. The expertise we have developed over the years ensures the best possible customer consulting and service, which our suppliers also highly appreciate.

25 years of LB-acoustics – What’s next?

The development of our markets clearly points towards growth. The possibilities of measurement technology are constantly improving and becoming ever more fascinating.
